Prof. Dr. Kwame Mensah

Prof. Dr. Kwame Mensah serves as the Pro Vice Chancellor – Research & Innovation at ICS AI University, where he leads the University's research strategy, innovation ecosystem, postgraduate research, international collaborations, and knowledge commercialisation initiatives. He is responsible for fostering a culture of discovery, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technological innovation that advances the University's mission of becoming a globally recognised AI-driven research institution.

With more than twenty-eight years of experience in research leadership, computer science, artificial intelligence, innovation management, and higher education, Prof. Dr. Mensah has successfully directed major research programmes, established international research partnerships, and secured competitive funding from government agencies, industry, and global research organisations.

As Pro Vice Chancellor – Research & Innovation, he oversees the University's Research Centres, Graduate Research School, Technology Transfer Office, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub, Research Grants Office, and Intellectual Property initiatives. His leadership focuses on accelerating scientific discovery, promoting applied research, supporting doctoral education, and transforming academic knowledge into practical solutions that benefit society.

Prof. Dr. Mensah is a recognised advocate for responsible artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, sustainable innovation, and research excellence. He believes that universities should serve as engines of innovation by connecting academic research with industry, government, and communities to solve complex global challenges.
